BHP – WCE Warlawuurru Cup 2026

Freo Group was proud to support the 2026 BHP–West Coast Eagles Warlawuurru Cup Carnival in Newman, alongside the Shire of East Pilbara and other community and industry partners. The carnival provided 150 young footballers from Newman, Tom Price, Paraburdoo and remote Western Desert communities with the opportunity to compete, develop their skills and showcase their talents in an organised regional sporting event.

Freo Group contributed its personnel and equipment to remove and reinstate the rugby goalposts at Boomerang Oval and displayed one of its cranes at the ground on carnival day. With more than 500 community members attending, 52 stakeholders involved and 38 marquees surrounding the oval, the event brought together local government, industry and community organisations to create a memorable and inclusive experience for young people across the East Pilbara.

Karlayura Rodeo Inc. – Roebourne Rodeo 2025 & 2026

Freo Group was proud to support the inaugural Roebourne Rodeo as a Gold Partner in August 2025, contributing $10,000 to this important Pilbara community event. Alongside valued regional clients and more than 3,000 attendees, we helped celebrate the region, support local tourism, and contribute to a lasting legacy for the Pilbara. Our crane display was also a popular feature, providing a standout attraction and a place for visitors to gather between events.

Following the success of the inaugural rodeo, Freo Group is pleased to continue its support as a Gold Partner in August 2026. We look forward to once again joining the local community, businesses, and visitors in celebrating this outstanding regional event and supporting the communities in which we live and work.

The cleanup reflects our commitment to supporting the communities in which we live and work while contributing to a cleaner and more sustainable future.

Can Assist (Cancer Assistance Network) – Cancer Assistance Network signage on a Franna Orange

Freo Group is proud to support Can Assist – Cancer Assistance Network, helping reduce the financial stress and hardship experienced by individuals and families affected by cancer in Orange and the surrounding district. As part of our support, one of our Terex Franna cranes at the Orange branch was branded with the Can Assist logo to help raise awareness of the organisation and its important work.

Freo Group’s donation contributes directly to practical financial assistance for local people following a cancer diagnosis. By keeping funds raised within the region, Can Assist can provide timely support where it is needed most, helping local families manage the additional costs and challenges associated with cancer treatment.

Humma Cranes wrapped in Freo Group Indigenous Artwork

A bright and colorful example, of Freo Group’s,  Freo Relationships, 2021 artwork, wrapped around a pair of new 55-tonne Humma cranes. The large central orb represented Freo Group and its expanding opportunities, while the stylised scaffold like bridges show the company reaching onto the east and west coasts of Australia.

In recognition of NAIDOC Week, Freo Group was proud to unveil a newly wrapped 25-tonne Franna crane at our Port Hedland branch, featuring our Freo Relationships 2021 artwork. The crane wrap celebrates culture, community and connection, while reflecting our ongoing commitment to recognising and valuing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across the regions in which we operate.

The artwork displayed on the Franna represents Freo Group’s journey, with the large orb symbolising the business and the growth, relationships and opportunities we continue to build within industry and community. This initiative was a meaningful way for Freo Group to acknowledge NAIDOC Week and celebrate the importance of culture, collaboration and shared respect.
