Freo Group’s Orange Branch proudly sponsored the Bloomfield Junior Rugby League Under 16s throughout the 2023 season, including the Indigenous Round. The team marked the occasion by wearing Indigenous jerseys designed by one of their own players, celebrating culture, creativity and community connection.

As part of the partnership, the team visited Freo Group’s Orange premises and was photographed alongside our Grove GMK5150L 150-tonne All Terrain Crane. Supporting local sporting clubs reflects our commitment to encouraging young people and strengthening the communities in which we live and work.

Freo Group is proud to support the Talison Lithium Mine Open Day in Greenbushes, having participated in the community event in 2024 and again in 2025. Our Bunbury team showcased a Liebherr 90-tonne All Terrain Crane, welcomed families to the display and provided merchandise for visitors to enjoy.

We are pleased to continue our support for the Open Day in 2026, alongside Talison Lithium, local contractors and the wider Greenbushes community. Participating in events such as this reflects our commitment to supporting and celebrating the regional communities in which we live and work.

Freo Group is proud to support the BHP Exploring Career Pathways Program, an initiative that introduces Year 10 students to the diverse career opportunities available across industry. Now in its tenth year, the program has been supported by Freo Group for the past five years, helping students explore potential pathways beyond school.

During the program, students visit our operations, meet team members, and gain practical insight into a range of roles, including the opportunity to step inside the cab of a 130-tonne Grove crane. Our involvement reflects Freo Group’s commitment to career development, training and inspiring the next generation of industry professionals.

Freo Group proudly supports local Chambers of Commerce and Industry across the regions in which we operate. Our teams regularly participate in career pathway days and expos hosted by the Port Hedland Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Karratha and Districts Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and Newman Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At the Newman Careers Expo, our team showcased a 25-tonne Franna crane, giving attendees the opportunity to view the equipment and learn more about careers within the crane and lifting industry. These events allow us to connect with local communities, promote regional employment opportunities, and inspire the next generation of skilled workers and crane operators.

Freo Group was proud to support and attend the Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA International Women’s Day 2026 event at Crown Towers. The event brought together leaders and advocates committed to advancing equity, creating opportunities and strengthening workforce participation for women.

Our involvement reflects Freo Group’s commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace where women are supported to develop, progress and succeed. We believe in balancing the scales and lifting the standard—not only on International Women’s Day, but every day.

As part of our commitment to supporting important community causes, Freo Group painted one of its Franna cranes pink during scheduled maintenance to help raise awareness of breast cancer. The initiative provided a visible show of support for those affected by the disease and the wider community working to improve breast cancer awareness, treatment and support.
